2026 marks the thirtieth anniversary of Bal-Sagoth's legendary second album "Starfire Burning Upon the Ice-Veiled Throne of Ultima Thule". To celebrate this magnificent occasion, the opus is returning triumphantly this summer on CD, vinyl and cassette (accompanied by "A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria" and "Battle Magic"). These fantastic editions will be released by Darkness Shall Rise Productions under license from Cacophonous.

Since February until today, I've kept revisiting them quite regularly. They are very peculiar records, the kind that require a certain mindset and preparation when hearing them for the first time. Even now, despite having first listened to them around 16 or 17 years ago, they remain an incredible source of nostalgia and a true "safe place" for me every time I return to them.
Thank you very much for creating these albums, their lyrics, and the whole imagery and atmosphere surrounding them.
